Pastels are trending this spring. If you like these lovely colors but worry about them making you look bigger, what should you do?
The easiest solution is colorblocking. Choose a colorblock pattern that breaks the horizontal view. Look at the multicolored cardigan and floral jeans in my photo! Colorful flowers line vertically along the outer side of each jean leg, creating two zones (floral and flowerless) that divide the horizontal view and thus generating a slimming effect. The bodice of the pastel colorblock cardigan works similarly.
