A v-hem tank top & a tennis skirt

All-white outfits are in style this summer. Would it be possible to pull off all white without looking like putting on a few extra pounds? The answer is yes, and you can even wear a cropped white tank top, as long as it has a V hem.

The V hem draws attention to the center and downward. It can therefore make your torso look narrower and longer. For someone with a proportionally short torso like me, the V hem is a godsend.

If you wear a white V-hem cropped tank top, the skin you bare should be in a darker color than the cropped tank top, and you can apply bronzer to make the exposed skin even darker. Please keep in mind that the number one rule to flatter your figure is to have the darkest color of your entire ensemble around your waist!

In this case, the cropped tank top and the tennis skirt are both white; between them is the exposed waist at least a little darker than white, so the waist naturally looks smaller. By the way, the white bottom doesn't have to be a tennis skirt. It can be a longer skirt with a low but not too low waist. However, it's better NOT to wear white pants, which would optically expand your hips, unless you have boyish hips.

Speaking of skirts and pants, dropped-waist bottoms are now on trend, but instead of those with super low waistbands, we can pick something that hits just below the natural waist, like my tennis skirt. Then it won't bare your belly. In other words, this is how to make the summer trend work for those of us not as skinny as fashion models.

Hopefully, my styling tips will help you look good and feel great in an all-white ensemble. Happy summer!
