Kelly green is not only the color for St. Patrick's Day but also a splendid spring color. In spring 2022, it's trendy to wear kelly green with candy pink, as shown in the photo displayed above. See the candy pink stripes on my shirt? Stripes are in as well.
By the way, I would recommend shorts as an alternative to this spring's mirco miniskirt trend in order to prevent wardrobe malfunction.
This ensemble I put together should work for most US size 6 ladies, including those with proportionally wide hips. We don't necessarily have to wear something black below the waist all the time. Kelly green shorts would look great, especially on St Patrick's Day, if you use the following tips:
(1) Choose a pair of shorts with a side zipper, which is hard to find but worth the effort, for a flat tummy.
(2) Put on an oversized jacket, which happens to be on trend and will make the hips seem narrower by contrast.
(3) Pair your shorts with mid-calf or over-the-knee boots. Mid-calf and over-the-knee are the most leg-flattering boot shaft heights. My combination of over-the-knee socks and mid-calf boots would work for you, too. Just make sure the socks and boots are the same color. Alternatively, we can wear black tights with black mid-calf boots for a thigh-slimming effect.
